The door is now open for construction industry stakeholders to put their names forward to participate and secure various board positions within Ontario's College of Trades.
"We really now need people involved in the trades, from the apprentice, tradespeople and employer aspects, to seriously consider their interest in and taking advantage of the opportunity to be involved in the governance of the College of Trades," said Scott Macivor, special advisor to the college.
The college's appointments council has begun accepting applications for appointments for the institution's board of governors, divisional boards and trade boards. The application deadline is Feb. 11. The application form and information on the vacant positions can be found on the college's new website at www. collegeoftrades.ca.
