The Idaho Statesman ran a story May 18 entitled, "Statesman wins suit over legal ads."
The story concerned a judge's decision over a legal battle with this publication, the Idaho Business Review, over who can publish legal notices. This was the Statesman's lead:
"The Idaho Statesman has won its lawsuit against a Boise business weekly over where legal notices like bankruptcies, name changes and foreclosures must be published."
This is false.
The recent court decision does not affect name changes or bankruptcies, as the Statesman claims.
