Commerce One and GXS form e-business alliance

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-25 July 2000-Commerce One and GXS form e- business alliance (C)1994-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http:// www.m2.com Two US-based companies - business-to-business Internet commerce specialist GE Global eXchange Services (GXS) and e- commerce systems provider Commerce One Inc - are planning to form an alliance to increase worldwide access to electronic marketplaces. Under the alliance the companies will offer interoperability between GXS' data transaction and translation technology and services and Commerce One's XML-based e-commerce systems to significantly increase the number of buyers and sellers able to transact business with one another on a global basis. In addition the partnership will provide GXS' network of trading partners with access to the open e- marketplaces in Commerce One's Global Trading Web, using Commerce One's BuySite Portal Edition e-procurement system.
