Commercial Bank & Trust Co. is poised to break ground this summer on its largest Memphis branch.
The Paris, Tenn.-based company has bucked the trend of most Memphis community banks who started in the suburbs and are moving or contemplating moves inward. The first Memphis branch is at 2000 Union and was opened 14 years ago. Last year, the second branch was opened in the lobby of the Morgan Keegan Building, Downtown at 50 N. Front.
Mott Ford, Commercial Bank vice president and CEO, hopes the East Memphis branch, located at Sanderlin and Mendenhall, to open by March 2001.
