Using Victrex PEEK polymer in its composite flow molding (CFM) process, Icotec AG of Attstatten, Switzerland, is able to produce consistently high-quality components, such as fasteners, that are capable of withstanding high load transfers without damage to the threads, Victrex reports. The process is said to allow production of components in high volumes in a single step without the need for post-treatment.
