Looking for a 5-megapixel camera at a terrific price? Concord Camera's 5345z sells for just $310--the lowest price we've seen for a model at that resolution. The 5345z's drawback, however, is its subpar image quality, which pretty much eliminates any advantage you might gain from the 5-megapixel CCD.
In our lab-based image-quality tests using the camera's default automatic modes, the 5345z did reasonably well capturing both our mannequin and outdoor scenery. The mannequin photo, shot with the camera's flash, was well exposed but had visible speckling in solid colors (the gray background and the model's purple blouse)....
