Conectiv Communications, a subsidiary of the Delmarva Power & Light Co. {DEW} will use Pulsecom's WavePacer ISDN digital subscriber line (IDSL) solution in a Delaware IDSL trial. Conectiv Communications plans to offer its subscribers a 128 Kbps frame relay service initially, and add an Internet access service by the middle of 1998. The WavePacer IDSL system integrates with D4 channel banks, digital loop carrier systems, frame relay backbones, and ISDN terminal adapters. "Pulsecom's products eliminated any concerns we had about co-locating our equipment in Bell Atlantic's central office," says John K. Scoggin Jr., chief technical adviser at Conectiv Communications. "Because of their history of delivering standards- based, NEBS-compliant solutions to this environment, we could rest assured that the Pulsecom products would be quickly and easily installed, allowing us to bring our new services to market faster." Conectiv Communications is a regional supplier of local and long distance service in Delaware, Maryland, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey. (Alecia Cooper, Pulsecom, 703/478-7087.)
