Continental Airlines turned in an operating loss of $37 million for the fourth quarter of 1994 and a year-end net loss of $613.3 million, including a one-time charge of $446.8 million to restructure the company. The $37 million fourth quarter loss compares with an $8.5 million fourth quarter profit the carrier eked out in 1993. The fourth quarter and large annual losses were expected and Continental President and Chief Operating Officer Gordon Bethune also released details of efforts he is making to turn the carrier's performance around.
