Conveyor Engineering Inc. plans to build new Treasure Valley headquarters this year, and continue its recent trend toward going to foreign fields and the mining sector for much of its work.
The company designs and builds material-handling systems.
"We are focusing heavily on markets outside the U.S, but we want to maintain the intellectual capital that resides with our employees ... because of the quality of our people and the quality control we can have," Vice-President Sid Cannon said.
Conveyor Engineering leases a building of 7,200 square feet on Elder Street southwest of the Vista Avenue-I-84 interchange.
The company employs about 30 in Boise, unchanged from a year ago, Treasurer Judy Henrikson said. CEI opened a sales office in October 2001, with three employees. It also operates a sales office in San Francisco.
