Although Costco has not abandoned plans to build a store at Sam Cooper Boulevard and Perkins, construction is not imminent, company officials say.
The company will eventually build its third Memphis store on 13 acres of land in the Berclair neighborhood at Perkins, Summer and Sam Cooper, says Jeff Brotman, chairman of Costco Wholesale Corp. But other than erecting a fence around the property, nothing significant has been done to the site.
