The pace of PC industry growth will remain strong well into the second half of 1997, according to the latest figures from the CRN index of leading indicators.
The index, designed to forecast economic activity in the PC sector over the next six to nine months, rose a very strong 3.7 percent in November, following a gain of 3.0 percent in October and 2.2 percent in September.
This was the eighth straight monthly increase in the index and the largest single-month gains yet recorded-both strong signs of accelerating PC industry growth in coming months. The index stood at 115.9 in November, up from 112.2 in October, and 100.0 in March 1995,...
