Crown Cork & Seal Co., the long-time Baltimore company that shifted its headquarters to Philadelphia more than 40 years ago, is now expanding its Maryland presence.
The manufacturer of cans and bottles leased more than 300,000 square feet of warehouse space this week at the Riverside Distribution Center in Belcamp, said John C. Childs Jr., a vice president with Trammell Crow Co.
The facility, which represents the second building in the park, is expected to be completed by December. Once the complex is finished, Crown Cork will leave its 178,000-squarefoot space on nearby Mercedes Drive in Harford County.
