The equity derivatives market continues to be one of the hottest areas on Wall Street, with firms staffing up to meet demand. Last week, Paribas Capital Markets, the New York subsidiary of the Paris-based bank, and Credit Suisse Financial Products, the derivatives arm of Credit Suisse, both boosted their equity derivatives operations with new hires.
Paribas added two people: Alex Garbuio, formerly of Bankers Trust Co., and Larry Motola, previously with SBC-O'Connor. Garbuio, a vp, will market equity derivatives, and Motola will trade the...
