Escalating advertising rates at both The Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News aren't the only things going up. Soon, readers of the two daily newspapers will get hit with dramatically higher sub ription rates for home delivery.
Gone are the days when subscribers could pay "a penny a day" for daily home delivery service. The same for the plethora of special sixday delivery deals that could cut subscription costs to just pennies. The newspapers are curtailing special subscription offers.
Instead, new subscribers can get an 'introductory rate of $66 for seven -day-a-week home delivery of the Post or the News. After a year, the price for renewal will jump to $128.
