Dawson Resources is the area's third-largest temporary employment agency but its new management team hopes the firm doesn't remain in that spot for long.

Chris and David DeCapua, have brought on board two executives who built Adia Personnel Services Inc.'s local franchise into one of the company's most lucrative markets before Adia was sold seven years ago.
The DeCapuas in June named Michael Linton chief executive officer of Dawson. Linton then hired Brian Stertzer, his former boss at Adia, as president. By the time Adia was acquired by market leader Adecco SA in 1997, Stertzer and Linton has expanded the local franchise into 21 offices with $80 million in annual revenue, representing 15 percent of Adia's national business.
"We want to be the market leader, and this is the (company) where we can do it," Linton said. "Dawson has the resources, the competitive spirit and now the intellectual capital to challenge the industry.
Recovering industry
Dawson billed 1.1 million temporary employment hours in 2003, according to Business First research, placing it behind Adecco and Acloche Staffing locally. In July, the company acquired the temp agency ReQuest People from owner Russell Sheets, who is now...
