The Dauphin DeskTop Replacement-1 (DTR-1) is a fully functional 486, pen-based PC with a host of built-in accessories. You can use it as a subnotebook, stand-alone pen computer, and central unit for your desktop PC.
Sound too good to be true? It is if you want to replace your 486DX2/66 computer with 32MB of RAM and a 1-gigabyte hard drive. If your desktop capacity needs are a bit less power hungry, however, then Dauphin's DTR-1 provides a fine solution at a reasonable $2,495 for the base model.
