THE NUMEGA DevPartner Studio 1.0 collection of individual application development tools takes the more-is-better approach. NuMega Technologies has bundled several of its excellent individual programs, such as BoundsChecker and SoftICE, with a number of extra goodies for little more than the price of one tool. Designed as an enhancement to Microsoft Visual Studio, DevPartner Studio lacks integration among its tools. But for C/C++ developers especially, the power of BoundsChecker and SoftICE alone will justify its purchase.
DevPartner Studio in this initial version is old wine in a new bottle. Each of the products I tried is a stand-alone version of an existing product; I had to install each product individually. Of course, the same is true of Visual Studio.
