The Johnson Family's Diamond Cellar is expanding to Easton.
The jewelry retailer plans to open a 9,000-square-foot store in September at Easton Town Center.
The store will become the family's second shop. Brothers R. Andrew and Jeffrey Johnson also operate a 23,000-square-foot Diamond Cellar store, which includes corporate offices and a design and manufacturing facility, on Sawmill Road in northwest Columbus.
"That store serves the northwest quadrant of town," said Jen Walker, advertising coordinator for Diamond Cellar. "We have quite a few customers and clients on the east and northeast side of town. We thought Easton (would be) a terrific location to serve them."
Thomas Morbitzer, design director for Cowan & Associates, said construction inside the store would begin in late June. Cowan, a Worthington-based retail planning and project management firm, is designing the store's interior. The cost of the project was not disclosed.
Walker said the company hasn't determined the number of employees the store...
