Sanky's sartorial spirit
Diary hears most of the hard work behind the preparations for the D&AD Awards last week went into getting the outgoing D&AD president, Simon "Sanky" Sankarayya, just the right pair of shoes to wear on the night. Apparently, he spent six mon ths looking for a panin the correct shade of yellow. He sent off loads of colour samples to a shoemaker and spent an inordinate amount of money on his pair of bespoke canary coloured shoes. Although he now has the perfect match for his Pencils, it's doubtful he'll get to wear them too often, unless his next j ob is as a children's TV presenter.
Bum deal for JWT staff
Showing some of that famous "we're all in it together" spirit, the fops over at JWT London decided that it was time to bestow some of their blue blood for National Blood Week and hosted a donation session at the agency. Apparently, the current advice for blood...
