Abstract
Offering many state-of-the-art reconstructive procedures, Dr. Jugenburg is one of Canada's top reconstructive surgeons. Among his breast reconstruction techniques is fat grafting - a recent and exciting development in the world of breast reconstruction. Using fat from a patient's body Dr. Jugenburg can rebuild the breast, as well as correct small deformities, treat radiation injuries, and deliver rejuvenating stem cells to improve the quality of post-radiation tissues. Dr. [Martin Jugenburg] has mastered the single-stage breast reconstruction technique which uses specifically designed tissue expanding implants - but unlike traditional expanders that require removal, these single-stage implants can be left in place, thus avoiding the need for follow-up surgery.
Dr. Martin Jugenburg is a board certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He earned his undergraduate degree in molecular genetics and molecular biology at the University of Toronto before moving to Winnipeg, where he received extensive training in reconstructive microsurgery. He was then chosen from a world-wide pool of applicants to train at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, where he gained further experience in Microsurgical Cancer Reconstruction www.microsurgeon.ca/martin-jugenburg. As a result, Dr. Jugenburg is able to offer some of the world's most advanced reconstructive procedures to his patients. Dr. Jugenburg has reconstruction surgery privileges at the Humber River Regional Hospital, and performs a full range of body and facial plastic surgery procedures at Toronto Cosmetic Surgery Institute, his private, state-of-the-art surgical clinic located in the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.
