NEW YORK - Duraceli Powermat has launched its new wireless charging flagship product, the 24 Hour Power System, and picked the city that never sleeps to debut it exclusively, with a major local marketing campaign to back it.
The joint venture between Procter & Gamble's Duraceli brand and Powermat Technologies rolled out the case/mat/backup battery combo pack, retailing for $99, to major New York-area retailers, including Best Buy, RadioShack, Walmart and AT&T carrier stores.
In addition the company announced partnerships with local entertainment franchises to bring a wireless power "ecosystem" to popular spots in and around the city.
The first SKU in the 24 Hour line features a twin-device sized Powermat charging pad, an iPhone charging shell case and a backup battery cube that can be charged on the pad. The company said a full charge of an iPhone and the backup battery will offer more than 24 hours of power, and that fact will be highlighted significantly on all packaging and promo materials.
