In an unprecedented visit, Minister of Education Gerard Kennedy came to Provincial Council. When compared to ministers who have gone before, Kennedy seems keen to appear before teachers and educational workers.
During his visit on October 2nd, Kennedy provided Council with a brief address before fielding questions from the audience. The Councillors had already decided on a series of questions to be delivered by the Chair to which Kennedy responded as a typical politician would - in a lengthy manner.
The questions for the minister centred primarily around issues of funding, professional development, collective bargaining...
