In nearly 10 years of covering the mortgage industry, I've done lunch with lots of interesting players in the business, but none quite as animated and entertaining as Joseph Delaney, the president of Eastern Software, Sharon, Pa., a top-five mortgage software firm.
Eastern Software has developed Empower, 32-bit Windows 95/98 workflow software for mortgage companies, with an openarchitecture application to several data bases, including Oracle and Microsoft SQL. "Every facet of a lender's operation is tied into the enterprise software," Delaney said.
