CAMDEN - Cooper University Hospital has lured a trio of Drexel faculty physicians across the Delaware River to lead its new neuroscience institute.
Dr. H. Warren Goldman, the former chairman and professor of the department of neurosurgery for the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, is in charge of developing the Cooper Neuroscience Institute.
Two of his Drexel colleagues, Dr. Alan R. Turtz and Dr. Steven S. Yocom, joined Goldman in the move, along with about a dozen support staff members.
"We are extremely excited about Dr. Goldman and his team coming to Cooper," said Dr. Christopher T. Olivia, the hospital's president and CEO. "It is a tremendous coup for Cooper to recruit three of the leading neurosurgeons in the Delaware Valley."
