BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
Essential business philosophy: I will serve my God, to whom I owe everything; my family, which I love limitlessly-and the Army, to which I am called.
Best way to keep competitive edge: Never accept the status quo. It's not only the surest way to ensure obsolescence from a business perspective, but it also signals an unwillingness to help those with whom you work to improve and become more than they are today. And in the final analysis, that is a leader's most important task.
Guiding principle: God is in control of every aspect of my life.
Yardstick of success: My success will be measured by the degree to which I am faithful to my calling.
Goal yet to be achieved: Writing a book. I'd like to write on the role of the laity in church polity It's been a key issue throughout history, and is no less so today.
