SOFIA'S CHOICE: The paparazzi attention on Sofia Coppola was understandably more intense at Anna Sui's front row on Wednesday, but following her Golden Globe wins and double Academy Award nominations, the director said she hasn't noticed a big outpouring from the fashion world. A regular at the shows of Marc Jacobs and Sui, Coppola said, "I still have the same friends."
MILLER TIME: Some subtle intelligence went into the seating chart at Calvin Klein on Thursday -- placing the young Barbara Bush in the second row and seating deposed New York editor Caroline Miller next to Kate Betts. Miller made a classy entrance, however, claiming to be out for a little fun while closing her next-to-last issue of the magazine, before Adam Moss takes charge.
"Then I'm out of there," she said, noting she's already gotten a couple of calls about future jobs. "It's been a great adventure and a huge amount of fun, and I wish the new guy all the best."
Apart from the vast social contingent, designer Francisco Costa drew Ray Liotta (who wins the perfect-attendance award for the week), Monet Mazur, both Bianca and Jade Jagger, Jason Lewis, Kelis and Gina Gershon.
"Since Francisco started designing, it seems to be even more modern than it used to be," said Mazur. "I like things that are really personal to the designer and express a unique mood."
