If you've ever found a really comfortable pair of shoes or a pair of pants you can't live without, you might have an idea of how Donald Lussier feels about his '55 Chevrolets. The veteran Top Sportsman driver has never raced anything else but the orange machines (yes, always orange) throughout his racing career.
There wasn't a serendipitous moment that led Lussier to purchase the used car in 1962. He picked up the Chevy at a car lot because he liked the body style and everything else - it's hard to argue with his taste. After 55 years, many things have gone out of fashion, but Lussier's automobile isn't one of them. As a teenager, Lussier got his first taste for speed racing a '55 Chevy.
