Here we are, headed into the holiday season, and as Ronald Reagan used to say when he was running for reelection in 1984: "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" Well, are you?
If you talked to show goers and the exhibitors at ISA EXPO 2004 in Houston, most would say "Yes." The industry pendulum is starting to swing back toward the positive side.
"Business is looking good in the third quarter. It has really picked up since the Fourth of July. We are picking up new business in addition to the existing customers we already have," said one exhibitor, Rick Tomfohrde, vice president at Preston, Wash.-based Christensen Display Products Inc., a maker of flat panel displays.
