Atlanta. At the company's annual user group meeting here this week, FleetRisk Advisors, a business unit of Omnitracs, Inc . , a subsidiary of Qualcomm, shared the aggregate results of its predictive models and remediation techniques with key customers gathered at the Averitt Express facilities in Atlanta, GA for the meeting. The data, which covers FleetRisk Advisors' customer base from June 2012 to May 2013, offered a glimpse of the power of predictive analytics to guide positive change.
Fleets that used the insights provided by FleetRisk Advisors' predictive models to remediate with at least the top ten percent of their most "at risk" drivers, as identified by FleetRisk Advisors, achieved an average 87% reduction in preventable accidents per million miles and an 80% reduction in driver turnover rate, according to the report. The data was normalized for group size across the customer base.
