Abstract
The design for the Flight III Arleigh Burke-class destroyer is 91 percent complete as the Navy is wrapped up in continued contract negotiations with General Dynamics Bath Iron Works for DDG-126 and DDG-127. Bath and Huntington Ingalls Industries' Ingalls Shipbuilding -- to modify the current Flight IIA design to accommodate the Advanced Missile Defense Radar with the requisite power and cooling, as well as growth for future systems.
