Horace Greeley High School, Chappaqua. N.Y., a product of the 1950s' building boom, was not ready for the information age. Its administration wanted to install a library media program, allowing students to retrieve and use information from a variety of media, including computer networks.
To provide the more than 900 students and staff with access to new research and communications options, administrators planned a major expansion.
