Childhood is an important stage of life. Children should be permitted to develop naturally, free of restraints. The child is the agent in his own learning. If knowledge is to become useful to a child, he must share in decision making. The child must accept an active role in his own learning.
We do not learn because information exists, but because we see human meaning and purpose in what we learn. Children should be taken out of the classroom into the daily environment to study. Instruction must be fitted to the child rather...
