Forbes.com and Bitpipe released a study examining the use of white papers and case studies among corporate executives and IT managers. Sixty-three percent of those surveyed said they use white papers or case studies to evaluate technology products and services. The study also found that after reading a white paper or case study, 78% of respondents passed it on to a colleague. Also, 93% of respondents said high-quality vendor white papers positively influenced a company's image. The survey, conducted by market research company Insight Express, was sent to a combined list of corporate and IT managers provided by Forbes.com and Bitpipe, a provider of IT content.
