If you draw a line from Helsinki, Finland, to the Silicon Valley in California, the shortest distance takes you over the North Pole. For Christian Lindholm, the distance has been more like one of his beloved sailboat trips as he tacks in a jagged line to the next destination.
After 10 years of working at Nokia, where he was credited with a number of inventions, Lindholm made that long journey from Helsinki to Sunnyvale, Calif., last September, becoming vice president of Global Mobile Products for Yahoo! Or rather, he's still on the journey because he's working out of the London Yahoo! office while he gets U.S. immigration clearance.
