Since Luke Kujawa returned to work full time for his parents at Crystal-Pierz Marine in 1997, the company has averaged an annual growth rate of 30 percent.
Last year Crystal-Pierz reported more than $45 million in sales - up from $41 million in 2000 and $28.9 million in 1999, all despite a soft economy, the events of Sept. 11 and one of the company's major suppliers declaring bankruptcy.
Kujawa attributes the company's success to its dedicated employees and commitment to customer service. He pointed to Crystal-Pierz's phenomenal January at the 2002 Minneapolis Boat Show - where a record 352 units, valued at $6.5 million, were sold as an example of his staff's hard work.
