Pat Delaney had show business in his blood and the pedigree to prove it.

The 56-year-old Delaney died Feb. 11 at Largo (Fla.) Medical Center after suffering a heart attack while attending the International Independent Showmen's Foundation trade show in Gibsonton, Fla.
Earlier that week, Delaney told AB, "Just give me a truck to sleep under and I'll be happy" He often told people, "I didn't run away to join the circus. I was born in it."
He was full of colorful stories from the early days of working in Chicago for his concessionaire father, the late Paul Delaney, when that city was the epicenter of the industry.
