Two Discovery Channel programs, When Dinosaurs Roamed America and Weather X, were recently shot with Fujinon high-definition lenses. When Dinosaurs Roamed America depicts the life and times of the enormous reptiles that once roamed what eventually became America, and Weather X is a two-hour program that simulates massive tornado and hurricane destruction in Dallas and New York City.
Pierre de Lespinois, executive producer and director at Evergreen Films, Discovery Channel's external production unit for the projects, said that Fujinon lenses provide the precise depth-of-field control, focus clarity, and a light weight that his shooting conditions demand.
