Key players from the world's home furnishings industries will converge on Frankfurt early next year for the last Heimtextil exhibition of this millennium. If you're looking for the newest ideas in fabrics, bedwear, wallcoverings and accessories you can't afford not to be there, January 13 to 16,1999.
* New colours will feature strongly within CHRISTY's Heimtex towel launches.
Kiwi, Nettle and Blackberry join the Renaissance Egyptian cotton range, Beetroot and Dragon Red are new within Panache, while Vanilla, Bracken, Dewberry and Acorn are added to the super-absorbent Arcadian collection. Other new introductions are an embellished towel, a jacquard, Hector Hare for children, and Tie Dye, a replacement to the beach towel.
2. Three new DORMA bedwear designs and a new range of plain, textured wallcoverings will make their debut at Heimtex. Julienne is an elegant floral inspired by17th century botanical drawings, in pinks, lilacs, golds and whites on ivory. It reverses to a cream and gold strie with green foliage. In contrast, the contemporary Mirage Gold, shown, combines an abstract horizontal stripe with freely-drawn scrollwork and leaf in muted yellows, golds and mint, and Madras checks spice up the cushion covers and pillowcases. Meanwhile, Lilac Mirage presents the design elements of Mirage in a pale lime and lilac colourway. All the bedwear designs are offered with a range of innovative accessories.
1. Eight different woven fabrics, all featuring different textures, come together in WILSON WILCOX's new Talisman collection on show at Heimtex. Chenille jacquards combine with colour-woven checks and dobbies, piece-dyed plains and washed shabby chenille damasks to provide over 30 different options. The fabrics are grouped into five colour stories, Antique, Spice, Gold, Regatta and Natural, and all are suitable for drapes and domestic upholstery.
* Catering for many years for the specialist, short-run, decorative end of the market, IVO PRINTS is now extending its commission textile printing activities...
