In the latest of many lawsuits against Peripheral Vision Infosystems Inc., a former supplier is accusing the failed computer technology company of, among other things, holding on to at least $30,000 worth of leased office furniture it hasn't made payments on.
Kansas City-based Team Office, which has provided office furnishings for PVI since early 2000, last month filed suit in Johnson County against the Overland Park company seeking payment on $165,000 in furniture payments and contract work at PVI's satellite offices in Wichita, St. Louis, Omaha, Tulsa and Newport News, Va.
The suit alleges that, shortly after shutting down the company's regional offices in late January, PVI officials shipped furnishings the company never paid for from most of those offices to PVI's Overland Park headquarters and have held on to them since.
