Continuing its strategy of growing through small acquisitions, Minnetonka-based G&K Services Inc. has acquired the uniformrental division of a Louisville, Ky.-based garment supplier.
G&K purchased the division from Universal Uniforms Inc. in a deal that closed Oct. 28. The unit has between 90 and 95 employees and was owned by Kentucky businessman William Tate and his family.
The price of the acquisition wasn't disclosed. Property records for Jefferson County, Ky., showed G&K spent $1.34 million to acquire four acres of land adjacent to the plant site. What's not known is how much G&K paid for Universal's Louisville uniformrental plant,...
