GE RAIL Services has renewed its commitment to the chemical industry by investing in new rail cars, boosting its manpower, and rolling out a new program that helps chemical producers track their products.
Overall, GE Rail is investing about $1.3 billion for about 19,000 railcars over the next three years. About $500 million worth will be dedicated to the chemical industry. "We are moving forward aggressively," said Todd Emro, commercial vice president for petrochemical industry at GE Rail.
