Gilat achieved a sales revenue of Rs. 30 crore in FY 2011-12 in India. The company's major customers in India include Bharti Airtel, HCL Comnet, and Nelco. Gilat operates in a wide array of markets including USA, Latin America, Asia and Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe. In FY 2012, the company derived 46 percent of its revenues from the United States, 30 percent from Latin America, 15 percent from Asia and Asia Pacific, three percent from Africa, and six percent from Europe. While 59 percent of the company's worldwide revenues were derived from product sales, 41 percent were contributed by services. Gilat's enterprise service revenues are derived from long-term contracts of 3-6 years, which provide stability and visibility into future revenues. As of December 31, 2011, the company had a backlog of Rs. 1351 crore (USD 265 million) for equipment and multi-year service contracts.
