Officials at Glenbeigh Hospital in Cleveland have unveiled plans for a $2.5-million, 27,000-square-foot expansion next to the hospital's present location on the West Side.
Robert A. Miller, Glenbeigh's corporate vice president of hospital operations and the Cleveland unit's acting executive director, told Crain's the addition will allow the hospital to offer on-site mental health services and reduce over-crowded conditions in its existing 55,000-square-foot building. The 100-bed hospital is located at 18120 Puritas Road.
The new structure -- to be built on five acres which adjoin the existing four-story building -- will house the hospital's new outpatient annex. That annex will include an admissions office, a dining room which can be used for large meetings and activities, administrative offices plus a medical wing devoted to mental health treatment.
