Cambridge software supplier Global Graphics has bought the complete digital software division of 5D Solutions for E24.7m, which includes the Jaws Rip and PDF Creator software product lines. Global Graphics has now formed Jaws Systems as a subsidiary of Harlequin, a company within the print software division of Global Graphics.
5D's digital publishing division has a strong customer base that is said to be complementary to Harlequin's and will attack the copier and desktop scanner market. 5D's existing visual effects division, which creates film and video software, will continue to be run and operated...
