Employees spend a lot of time using email, and rely on it to share documents with colleagues.

A study by Osterman Research found that email is the single most important app for corporate decision makers and influencers. In fact, the typical corporate user spends two hours per day working in the corporate email system and sends or receives around 130 emails a day.

Most rely on email to send attachments, while 60 percent use email to share files and 56 percent use email to manage projects.
