Abstract
Canada Economic Development and Parks Canada will respectively contribute $350,000 and 270,000 to the project. Other local financial development partners will complete the project's financing. The reception and orientation centre will be located on route 138, right in the middle of Saint-Fidle, Charlevoix, in La Malbaie, near the western access to the marine park.
Several other partners are contributing to this project that is being administered by the Socit de gestion de Charlevoix-Est. La Ville de La Malbaie, which acquired the lot for the orientation and visitor centre and will perform work valued at $90,000, the Confrence rgionale des lus de la Capitale-Nationale ($50,000), the Association touristique rgionale de Charlevoix-Est ($12,500) and the Centre local de dveloppement (CLD) of the MRC de Charlevoix-Est ($12,500), will join the partnership through a specific tourism agreement. In addition, le ministre du Dveloppement durable, de l'Environnement et des Parcs du Qubec, co-manager of the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park, will contribute $20,000.
