A combination of location, attractive rents and a large presence of government-related space users helps keep buildings nearly full and vacancy low in the Northeast Expressway/South office market
This isn't a particularly high-profile market along the lines of Midtown or Central Perimeter, said Bob Tardy, vice president of office leasing at Duke Realty Corp. (NYSE: DRE), from his vantage point at 280,000-square-foot Druid Chase. But it has qualities that are dear to any landlord's heart
"This market doesn't hit the headlines because of absorption or new development," Tardy said. "But year-in, year-out, it is a steady performer and typically maintains the highest occupancies of any market in the metro area."
