ALBANY--The 39 members of Governor Pataki's "New Media Task Force" held their first meeting recently and set an ambitious agenda for developing New York's robust, yet still nascent, new-media industry. "New media" includes all forms of electronic publication, such as Internet sites, software, CD-ROMs, and interactive computer-based training programs.
