Peter Hannigan, who helped shepherd Hypo Real Estate as it was spun off from German lender HypoVereinsbank last year, has joined PB Capital. Hannigan, who remains based in New York, was named managing director and group head of real estate at PB, a subsidiary of Bonn-based Deutsche Postbank. He replaced Catherine Mickey, who left in mid-March. PB has been a minor player in the U.S. loan syndication market, working mostly with other German banks. Hannigan's mandate is to increase PB's market share. He reports to senior managing director Kurt Sachs.
The U.S. office of Hypo Real Estate in New York has hired Steven Sherwyn and Bruce Kimmelman as directors. Both report to marketing head Evan Denner. Sherwyn will specialize in relatively esoteric structured-finance deals. He previously was a director of Winter Group, a New York boutique lender. Before that he worked...
