Scotts Valley, Calif. -- Borland International Inc., the vaunted software development technology company founded by Philippe Kahn, is once again in trouble and struggling to maintain its identity in the marketplace.
The company, whose successful technologies include Delphi, dBase, Paradox, Turbo Pascal and C++ development environments, recently projected another round of losses, and has begun a series of cost-cutting measures, including layoffs and the sale of the Paradox product line and possibly that of dBase.
